In the end of January, a delegation from the Faculty of Science made a partner visit to Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, with the objective to develop the exchange agreement that exists between the College of Science at NTU and the Faculty of Science at SU. During one week the delegation met with the NTU leadership, the manager of the international office at NTU, as well as with heads of the different subject areas included in the agreement. The goal was to better understand the NTU system for course selection and the reality that the students’ meet when they arrive, as well as to find suitable courses that fit in the students’ educational programmes and identifying which semesters that are most suitable for exchange. The delegation also met with outgoing exchange students that were at NTU during the spring semester to find out more about their experiences so far. Hopefully, the information gathered during the visit in Singapore can be used to improve the student experience for exchange students and make an exchange more attractive to science students.
