Subject description
Marine geology covers the study of marine and lacustrine sediments and rocks as well as the processes that contributed to their formation. The subject also includes studies of the physical, chemical and biological properties of the marine and lacustrine sediments and rocks, as well as the use of these properties for reconstruction of the Earth's environmental and climate development.
