  • It is not mandatory to use the template, as long as the requirements for the ISP are met by using another format. • The template can be modified, as long as the requirements for the ISP are met.
  • The template supports the mandatory information to be included in the ISP.
  • The template partly supports the inclusion of the qualitative targets of the Higher Education Ordinance in the ISP.
  • The template is in two languages.
  • The template is intended both for the first ISP and for reviews of the ISP.
  • The supervisor and the doctoral student will fill in the ISP in connection with admission.
  • The filled-in ISP file will be saved by the doctoral student, printed ahead of the head of department’s decision, and then filed as an established ISP.
  • In connection with the review, the document will be revised by the supervisor and the doctoral student and printed once more to be signed, adopted, and filed.
  • The doctoral student will save the revised ISP file until the next review.
  • This procedure is then repeated after the next review.

The supervisor’s review of the ISP with respect to the qualitative targets of the Higher Education Ordinance.

  • The appendix “Supervisor’s review of the ISP with respect to the qualitative targets of the Higher Education Ordinance” must be used to document how the doctoral studies’ relate to the qualitative targets.
  • Before each review of the ISP, the supervisor will fill in the completed activities’ relation to the qualitative targets.
  • The document will be attached to the ISP used in the review. The doctoral student or the supervisor will save the filled-in appendix as a file until the next review.
