We are pleased to announce the call for proposals to perform single particle cryo-EM analysis at SciLifeLab national facility for the allocation period November 2016 to February 2017.

The deadline for proposals submission is October 1st.

Applications can be submitted via https://cryoem.scilifelab.se

Proposals will be peer-reviewed and selected competitively according to the strength of the scientific case and technical feasibility.

If you have any questions, please contact us at cryo-em@scilifelab.se.

Electron cryo-microscopy (cryo-EM) is a method for imaging macromolecular structures at cryogenic temperatures. Due to the recent technological advances, cryo-EM has been undergoing a major breakthrough, becoming the mainstream approach in the structural biology. It is now capable of obtaining density maps of up to 2 Å resolution of protein complexes, including membrane proteins, and identification of multiple conformations through computational classification. The cryo-EM SciLifeLab facility has been launched on September the 1st, and is equipped with two state-of-the-art microscopes, for screening (Talos Arctica) and data collection (Titan Krios). The details of the facility are available here
