At the boundary between biogeochemistry and marine ecology my research interestare in tracing organic matter origin, dynamics and fate in coastal systems especially its transfer of trophic networks. I aim to understand how natural or human induced long-term changes in organic matter quality and availability affects food webs, from individuals to community level. I work with organic tracer tools, more particularly carbon and bulk and specific compound, but also with fatty acids biomarkers. Together with environmental variables, I integrate these data in uni- and multivariate statistical approaches to better understand the relationship and dynamics between organism's chemistry and their environment.
